An old creek winding through the land. A young orchard taking its sweet time. Chickens scratching through the grass, dogs keeping watch, and three little goats about to bring their own kind of mischief to the story.
This is Autumns Way. A place we’re making home.
We came here in 2025 with a piece of land, a house with good bones, and an idea of what this place could become. We began making it ours.
Reworking the house, settling into the land, adding chickens, planting a garden, preparing an orchard, and welcoming more animals along the way. Somewhere in the middle of all that, Autumns Way began to take on a life of its own.
We don’t know exactly what it will become. We like it that way.
For now, we’re making a home, caring for the land and the animals, and enjoying the small stories that come with life here.

There is almost always something happening around here.
The chickens roam freely and take their work in the garden very seriously. The orchard is young and in no particular hurry. The garden grows fruit and vegetables. Most of which currently have chickens or dogs waiting for them. Three mini goats are joining the family. And the dogs remain firmly convinced the whole place belongs to them.
Everyone seems to have their own agenda. Some things here are carefully planned. Others have a way of finding us.
That’s life at Autumns Way.
Sometimes, there’s a little more than we need. Right now, that mostly means fresh eggs. Someday, the orchard should have something to say for itself. The garden may give us more than the animals and humans can manage.
And there may be other good things from Autumns Way along the way. Maybe even a farm stand someday.
For now, we’re happy to see what comes of it.
Not quite yet. Autumns Way is first and foremost home to us and to the collection of creatures who have claimed some part of it as their own.
But someday, we hope there will be reasons to come down the drive. Fruit to pick. A farm stand to wander through. Animals to meet. Maybe just a good reason to stay awhile.
When that day comes, we’ll leave the gate open.
